Ennis, Ireland

We left SAV to ATL to SNN on Saturday 9/6 @ 6 PM and arrived in Shannon Sunday 9/7 at 10:30 AM.  Time difference is 5 hours later than EDT.  We tried to act alert but let's face it, sleeping on an airplane sitting upright just doesn't do it for me.  I might have dozed off for an hour or so.  Our flights were on time and so was our luggage.

Ennis is about 30 minutes from Shannon AP.  We hired a cab for 40 EURO -- about $65 since the conversion rate was slightly higher than 1.5.  Our tour started from Ennis on Monday 9/8.  We decided to walk around the town and found many stores open on Sunday.  Casino's, betting offices, stores of all types were open after noon.

Di had the best halibut dinner.  Even after 12 days of touring she still ranks this dinner the best. 

Kate and Gail look far better than I felt!
