Cinnamon
Rolls The cinnamon rolls are easy but have a years calories and fats in each one! Here's my best guess. I always experiment a little so who knows what the real thing is. 1 1/2 cups of whole milk heated to 104 degrees (not so hot it stings your finger)
2
Tablespoons of sugar
1 egg 1 tablespoon of butter, additional butter later.
3 cups of flour
2 Packages of dried rapid
rise yeast Combine the milk ( liquid 104 degrees) and sugar, stir. Then put 3 cups of flour, egg, 2 Tablespoons of butter and the yeast into mixer - stir for a few seconds. Add the liquid mixture, add more flour slowly if necessary. The feel of the dough should be soft, not firm. If the dough sticks to your fingers add a Tablespoonful of flour at a time. If it is too firm, add a Tablespoonful of water at a time until the dough softens.
Let
it rise for 1/2 hour.
After 1/2 hour, roll out the dough so its about 1/4 inch thick at most.
Then roll it up like a log. I roll one half towards the center. Then roll the other end to the center so it looks like I have 2 rolls. Take a knife and cut between the two rolls.
Cut vertically so you are cutting two rolls at a time
Place them in a greased pan. Let them rise for 30 minutes. Be sure the pan is deep enough to catch the excess sugar and butter.
Add a bit of butter to the top of each roll
It is wise to put aluminum foil under the shelf in your oven to catch any excess that might boil over.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. These are the best!!! Let me know how it works for you. |
