Delos is an uninhabited island, 75 nautical miles from Santorini. Although it is a tremendously important ancient city, no one is aloud to stay on the island even overnight. Birth and death are prohibited. If you are pregnant or sick they get your tail off the island pronto. According to mythology it is the birthplace of Apollo, the God of beauty, health, sun, light, harmony and music. Early traces of life go back to 3rd millennium BC.
