Our last day and evening at Makanyane

The Millars are prepared for the last safari.

Joan and "Tony the Mechanic" are ready too!

I gotta itch and this tree is the perfect back scratcher!

This is about where the elephant turned around.

He stared at us and we were told not to move.

He casually turned around

Then he stared at us and came forward.  Once again we were told to stay still And the bull came right up to the front of our jeep.  Di was in a panic.  He sniffed with his trunk and finally left.  Elephants are nothing to fool with.  Although our guide was confident the elephant showed no signs of anger we were all glad to see the moment pass.  I think this is the point when Di said tearfully "I want to go home!"

This is the Wild Dog that has been called Makanyane!

It sure is an ugly animal, with large sharp teeth and it runs in a pack.

These two were a part of 5 hunting young wildebeest.  After the bulls came out of the bush there was a face off like in the old westerns.  The wildebeest won and the dogs took off.  They are no match for an adult wildebeest, the dogs want the group to separate so they can attack the young smaller ones.

Off to another area to hunt more.  The dogs never stop roaming.

The Zebras just stood in the veldt and watched the action.

We didn't get to many close ups of the Zebras.  My zoom lens came through again!

Dylan, Tony and I were ready to celebrate our last evening at Makanyane!

Our suppliers of happy juice were always there to be of service!

Terri and Andrew Rice toast - continue to have an exciting and enjoyable trip.

The party is in full swing!

Our Last Supper!

I am on my way to scare hell out of another group!  You guys can go to Cape Town!
