Ring of Kerry

Our weather was often cloudy and many days we had rain.  Our prayers were answered on this day for we had beautiful blue skies and visibility was excellent.  We saw scenes that few get to see.  WE went all the way to Switzerland to see the Matterhorn and to Alaska to see Mt McKinley and never got to see either.  So it was a special treat to have perfect weather for this day.  We had three golfers play Waterford.  It is know best for Payne Stewart's favorite Irish links course.  Then we were off to drive the circle i.e. Ring of Kerry.

My favorite view on the way to the Ring of Kerry

After an hours ride the elevation went from sea level to mountain top.

The bay was wide

We were too high to hear the surf

Out of school and looking for a donation.

I wonder if there were any trout in this stream.

Clouds rolled by and looked like cotton balls with the background of blue sky.

We know who owns him!

The terrain was mixed grass and rocks.

Perfect for sheep but forget cattle.

That was our road as we climbed higher.

The green patch is a forest of fir trees.  We saw many areas like this.

The road was a whole lot wider now than in '98.

Pretty women!

Artist at work

Inviting scene for artists to capture on canvas.

It was bright, windy and about perfect for viewing.

The terrain is steep, fit for sheep.

A distant farm

Very few people get to see the two islands off the coast.  We were lucky to get such a clear day.
